In the morning, the city tour of Lima begins with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, exploring the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. Panoramic visit to Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca ceremonial temple in the shape of a pyramid that has survived Lima’s urban expansion. Next, we will visit the historic center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will observe the Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace, and the Lima Cathedral. We will also visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, where the relics of Peruvian saints are preserved. In the afternoon, visit the Larco Herrera Museum, a private collection in the district of Pueblo Libre. Excellent display of ceramics from pre-Columbian cultures, as well as an interesting collection of pre-Inca erotic art. Return to Larcomar (seaside shopping center) or the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to the city of Arequipa. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the morning is free for resting and acclimatization. In the afternoon, take a tour of the city center: Plaza de Armas, Municipal Palace, Cathedral, Churches of the Society of Jesus, built with traditional white sillar stone. Visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, one of the most impressive religious monuments in Peru. Visit the colonial district of Yanahuara, famous for its Andalusian-style churches and its viewpoint. Departure at 08:30 am passing through the town of Yura and the Aguada Blanca National Reserve of Vicuñas. We cross through the Tojra bofedales where you can observe a great variety of migratory birds. Tour to the Mirador de los Volcanes. Around 1:30 pm, arrival in Chivay. Departure at 06:15 am towards the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to observe the depth of the Colca Canyon and the flight of the majestic condor. On the way back, visit the towns of Macca and Yanque, and Antahuilque Viewpoint. Arrival in Chivay and departure to Puno at the appropriate time. During the journey, you can observe the beautiful high Andean landscape with rock formations similar to a stone forest. Pass through Crucero Alto at 4,538 meters above sea level, the highest point of the route. Continue towards the beautiful Lagunillas area until reaching the city of Puno. Journey of about 6 hours. In the morning, transfer to the port of Puno for a boat trip in Lake Titicaca. Visit the island of Taquile and learn about the ancestral traditions of its inhabitants. Transfer to the station to take a tourist bus to Cusco. Duration of the trip is about 10 hours. Visit Alcra Pukara, a ceremonial center consisting of terraces located 100 km north of Puno. Continue to La Raya, the highest part of the route, where you can observe beautiful snowy landscapes and native species. Lunch in Sicuani and time to rest. The tour continues to Raqchi, an archaeological site dedicated to the god Wiracocha. Magnificent Inca work in stone and adobe. Continue to the Church of Andahuaylillas, 40 km south of Cusco, a jewel of mestizo baroque architecture known as the Sistine Chapel of America for having its nave decorated with murals and framed in gold leaf. In the morning, we will explore a picturesque route through some beautiful neighborhoods of Cusco. Transfer to the San Cristobal viewpoint with a church and panoramic view. Walk through San Cristobal and San Blas, the Seven Little Lambs street and the colonial aqueduct of Sapantiana. Visit Plaza San Blas and descend through the homonymous street with the Twelve-Angle Stone until reaching the main square. In the afternoon, visit the city’s iconic sites, such as the Temple of the Koricancha and the Cathedral. Explore nearby ruins: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. In the morning, we will begin our journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visiting the town of Maras, a picturesque village with salt mines dating back to the Inca and colonial periods.
