In the morning, the city tour of Lima begins with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, exploring the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. Panoramic visit to Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca ceremonial temple in the shape of a pyramid that has survived Lima’s urban expansion. Next, we will visit the historic center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will observe the Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace, and the Lima Cathedral. We will also visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, where the relics of Peruvian saints are preserved. In the afternoon, visit the Larco Herrera Museum, a private collection in the district of Pueblo Libre. Excellent display of ceramics from pre-Columbian cultures, as well as an interesting collection of pre-Inca erotic art. Return to Larcomar (seaside shopping center) or the hotel. Early in the morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiclayo. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the morning, visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, designed in the shape of a pre-Hispanic truncated pyramid. It features 10 exhibition rooms displaying the treasures of the Lord of Sipan, a vast collection of gold, silver, and copper objects (necklaces, nose rings, earrings, and more). Return to Chiclayo. Early in the morning, transfer to the bus station for a regular service to Trujillo (duration: 3:30 hours). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free morning. In the afternoon, tour the western part of the city, visiting the Nik-An Palace of Chan Chan. Explore ceremonial plazas, worship sites, reservoirs, granaries, temples, and the funerary platform adorned with high-relief friezes. In the morning, begin the tour of the Moche Valley, where you will find the Huaca del Sol, constructed with over 100 million adobe bricks, and the Huaca de La Luna, a beautiful temple consisting of 6 buildings superimposed on top of each other. In between, the city of Moche, likely buried due to the effects of a significant El Niño event. Visit the Huacas de Moche Museum. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (via Lima). In the morning, we will explore a picturesque route through some beautiful neighborhoods of Cusco. Transfer to the San Cristobal viewpoint with a church and panoramic view. Walk through San Cristobal and San Blas, the Seven Little Lambs street and the colonial aqueduct of Sapantiana. Visit Plaza San Blas and descend through the homonymous street with the Twelve-Angle Stone until reaching the main square. In the afternoon, visit the city’s iconic sites, such as the Temple of the Koricancha and the Cathedral. Explore nearby ruins: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. Discover the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a full-day excursion. Explore the ruins of Pisac and its picturesque market, visit the charming towns of Calca and Yucay, and reach Urubamba for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. In the morning, transfer to Poroy Station to take the Expedition train to Machu Picchu. Assistance and bus ascent to explore the citadel, one of the seven wonders of the world, discovering its religious, civil, and military areas. Return to Machu Picchu Town for an included lunch. Transfer to the station to take the tourist bus to Puno. The duration of the trip is about 10 hours. We start by visiting the Church of Andahuaylillas, 40 km south of Cusco, a gem of Mestizo baroque architecture known as the Sistine Chapel of America, with its nave decorated with murals and framed in gold leaf. The tour continues to Raqchi, an archaeological site dedicated to the God Wiracocha, which stands out for its magnificent Inca work in stone and adobe. Afterward, we head towards La Raya, the highest part of the route, where you can observe beautiful snowy landscapes and native species. We continue to Sicuani for lunch and some rest time. The last stop is Alcra Pukara, a ceremonial center consisting of terraces located 100 km north of Puno. Finally, we arrive in the city of Puno around 5:00 pm and transfer to the hotel. In the morning, transfer to the port of Puno for a boat trip in Lake Titicaca. Visit the island of Taquile and learn about the ancestral traditions of its inhabitants.
